The B South policing section incorporates most of the Peak District National Park, from Hathersage in the north to Sudbury in the south, with many rural villages scattered in between.
I am Inspector Bryan Hall, Section Inspector for the B South Policing Section.
B South section has a positive policing style with a commitment to deliver a high quality policing service to the people who live in the Derbsyhire Dales.
Listening to what the community wants and working together together with people and partners to solve problems, is very much at the heart of our core values.
We fully recognise that we have a basic duty to protect the vulnerable either through domestic or personal circumstances and we strive to identify those people in the Derbsyhire Dales and provide them with protective services.
Targeted high visibilty policing, particulaly foot patrols are a priority to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour. We know this reassures people and helps to reduce the fear of crime which is out of proportion to the reality.
The fact is that the Derbsyhire Dales is one of the lowest crime areas in the country and my aim is to keep it that way.
