B Division is responsible for policing the rich heritage and beautiful natural backdrop covered by the Derbyshire Dales and High Peak areas of Derbyshire.
The division covers 50 per cent of Derbyshire, from the East Staffordshire border in the south, through the Peak District National Park to the borders of Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire. It is a predominantly rural community, with Buxton and Glossop towns having populations in excess of 20,000 people.
We pride ourselves on our relationships with partners and the community, who have when consulted, indicated that they have the highest satisfaction rates as to how the police deal with crime and anti-social behaviour and for feelings of being safe within their neighbourhood.
Our goal is to maintain a strong local policing presence, keep people safe, tackle crime and deliver a high quality policing service whilst managing the potential implications of the financial challenges ahead.
High Peak and Derbyshire Dales is a relatively low crime area and we want to keep it that way.
