Appeal following an incident at a shop in Alfreton

Police are appealing for information following an incident at a shop in Alfreton.

At around 1.20pm on Tuesday, January 28, two men went into Cooplands, on High Street, and asked the shop assistant for cash from the till.

She initially declined, but the men continued to ask until the assistant felt compelled to hand over a quantity of money.

One man is described as white, around 6ft tall and in his 20s. He was wearing a cap and a dark short jacket. The other is white, in his 20s and around 5ft 9in tall, with a stocky build and spotty complexion.
