This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Bolsover Town. It belongs to the Bolsover policing section. Bolsover is a small market town with a strong mining and historical heritage. It is located within Bolsover District Council and is approximately 6 miles from Chesterfield town centre. Bolsover has many attractions from the 17th century including the castle and buildings which now make shops and businesses in the town centre. There are also long walks which show the history of the castle and the strong mining heritage that Bolsover possesses.

Sergeant 2998 Wendy McBride is responsible for this Safer Neighbourhood Team.

I am Sergeant 3409 Matt Troth  and I am responsible for this Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team. I want to make sure that local residents can live, work and feel safe in a community they can be proud of.

I have been a front line police officer since joining the Leicestershire Constabulary, working in both uniformed and plain clothes roles. In 2007 I transferred to Derbyshire and took up my current role in January 2009.

This last year has been both very rewarding and busy, working with officers to obtain ASBOs on conviction, to close down nuisance premises, carryout proactive operations, and achieve priority profiles set by the public. We hope that by listening to the public and working with our partners, that we have made a real difference
