A 22-year-old man has been given a police warning after he was caught doing handbrake turns and wheel spins in his car in the Clowne area.
Officers from the Clowne Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) stopped the man on Recreation Close and issued him with a warning for the manner of his driving.
If he is caught using his vehicle to cause nuisance again in the next 12 months officers could seize his car.
The warning comes as part of the SNT’s work to clampdown on anti-social behaviour and nuisance vehicles in the area.
PC Jason Graham said: “Residents have told us nuisance motorists and rowdy youngsters are a problem in this area and we are working to tackle this as a priority.
“We hope this sends out a clear message that it will not be tolerated.”
