Youngsters in Glapwell and Doe Lea will be able to play the latest computer games and consoles thanks to free sessions organised by local police.
Officers from the Glapwell Safer Neighbourhood Team have set up the evenings of free gaming to give teenagers something to do during the winter months.
Consoles such as Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii will available during the Gamezone sessions to be held every Wednesday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
They will be held at Glapwell Community Centre and Doe Lea Centre on alternate weeks with the first session taking place in Glapwell on January 18.
PC Tony Bagshaw, of the Glapwell SNT, said: “The sessions always prove popular with youngsters as it gives them something interesting to do and a chance to socialise in a safe environment.
“Gamezone also helps us to engage with the youngsters and we hope to continue to use it in the future.”
The sessions are free and open to anyone under 18 living in the area.
