This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Dunston, Moor and St Helen's. Sheffield Road and Newbold Road outline the extremes of the beats and link the Town centre to the surrounding area.

  • Increased patrols to the area to target and deter any offenders and offer reassurance to local residents.
  • Carry out stop and searches on people acting suspiciously.
  • Appropiate action to be taken against any offenders.
  • Work with local schools and partnership agencies to offer advice to youngsters about the dangers of drugs and the consequences of anti-social behaviour.

  • Carried out high visibility patrols at weekends and during evenings and carry out stop and searches on people acting suspiciously.
  • Worked with Chesterfield Borough Council housing to get updates on tenants and visitors to the area.
  • Worked with local schools and partnership agencies to offer advice to youngsters about the dangers of drugs and the consequences of anti-social behaviour.

  • Held crime prevention events at prominent community venues including churches, supermarkets and parks to raise awareness.
  • Identifed vulnerable members of the community or victims of this type of crime and offer them SmartWater and other prevention equpiment.
  • Carried out increased patrols and operations to gather information and deter offenders.
  • Appropiate action taken where necessary against offenders.
