This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Staveley. Anti-social behaviour and criminal damage on Lansbury Avenue Park

Issue Date:
Issue was set on 15/10/2012
Actions to be taken are as follows:
  • Increase patrols in the area by Safer Neighbourhoods officers to deter the youngsters congregating there and reassure residents.
  • Work with partner agencies to draw on their powers and resources when dealing with those causing the anti-social behaviour.
  • Take positive action against those caught causing the behaviour and use restorative justice to deal with offenders where appropriate.

Bogus callers in the Mastin Moor area

Actions to be taken are as follows:
  • Raise awareness of bogus callers by giving out leaflets, using the media and Twitter, through visiting and speaking to local community groups and residents.
  • Maintain and increase police patrols to the area.
  • Speak to and advise those visiting addresses in the area about the issue and officers to take appropriate action against any callers found to be bogus.

Actions to be taken are as follows:
  • Carried out high-visibility patrols to deter offenders and covert patrols to catch thieves in the act.
  • Worked with partner agencies, such as the Community Safety Partnership, to educate motorists about car crime prevention.

Tackling burglary in Staveley and Mastin Moor

Actions to be taken are as follows:
  • Worked with partner agencies to ensure residents are being security conscious with their property
  • Patrolled the area regularly to deter thieves and appropiate action taken against any offenders
  • Informed residents about issues in their street through local surgeries and the Community Messaging service
