Appeal over damage at allotments in Clay Cross
Posted on 13th May 2013
Police in Clay Cross are appealing for information after a number of sheds were damaged on an allotment site.
Four sheds and a greenhouse were targeted at the gardens off Tranmere Avenue sometime overnight between Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20.
PCSO Charlotte Platts of the Clay Cross Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team has been making local enquiries.
She said: “It is quite upsetting to people who use the allotments to have the area spoiled by damage so we’d urge anyone who knows anything about the incident to contact us.
“We’re also speaking with the parish council to see if there is anything that can be done to improve security at the site, to help prevent this from happening again.”
Anyone with information should contact Derbyshire police on 101, the non emergency number, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
