Community police and housing officers in north east Derbyshire are taking to the streets to find out residents’ concerns.
Officers from the South Eastern Safer Neighbourhood Team will be carrying out walkabouts around the villages of Morton, Shirland and Stonebroom alongside housing officers from Rykneld Homes.
The walkabouts will last for around two hours and officers will visit numerous areas around each village and invite residents out of their homes to meet the team and discuss any local issues.
Police Community Support Officer Gary Green said: “Residents are invited to air their views about what they want to see happening in their community and let police and housing officers know about any local concerns.”
Residents will also be given an update of what local officers have been doing in the area.
The walkabouts will be held on the following days:
-
Thursday, March 1 around the village of Morton starting on Maltby Avenue from 1.30pm;
-
Wednesday, March 14 around the village of Stonebroom starting on Birkinstyle Avenue from 1.30pm;
-
Thursday, March 15 around the village of Shirland starting on Byron Street from 9.30am.
