CCTV images released following a handbag theft in a Derby store

Police investigating a robbery in Derby have released CCTV images of two women they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

At around 1.30pm on Saturday, September 28 two women entered Primark and stole a bag from a shopper in the store. They used the victim’s bank card and pin number to withdraw £300 from a nearby ATM.

Officers investigating the incident have released images of the women they would like to speak to.

The first woman is described as dark skinned possibly eastern European, in her 30s, of medium to large build and wearing a black shawl and carrying a large bag.

The second woman was also dark skinned believed to be eastern European, in her 30s with dark hair scraped back into a bun. She was of medium build, wore a light colour patterned cardigan, black knee length skirt and also carried a large bag.

Officers are appealing for the women in the images or anyone who recognises them to contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting crime reference 40952/13.
