Warning for man causing ASB with off road bike in Church Gresley

A man has been given a warning after he was causing nuisance behaviour with his off road bike in Church Gresley.

Police were called to Tunnel Woods in the area at around 6pm on Saturday, October 26, concerned residents reported that they had seen three males riding bikes causing one member of the public to feel intimidated.

A 25-year-old man was given a Section 59 warning, if he is caught again riding or driving any vehicle to cause nuisance, alarm or distress the vehicle itself can be seized by police.

PCSO Dave McMillan, of the South Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The man spoken to was issued a warning on this occasion, he knows the consequences if he should be found riding the bike in this area again.

“We have increased our patrols in the area and will continue to monitor the issue, anyone with information or concerns about nuisance riders in this locality should contact the team.”
