I am Sergeant 2373 John Troup and I am responsible for this Safer Neighbourhood policing team.

I started my career in 2000 as a patrol officer in Alfreton and since this time I have undertaken a number of roles including Community Beat Officer and Tutor Constable for new recruits. I also spent two years seconded to Leicestershire Constabulary working at East Midlands airport performing the role of Ports Officer. In 2007 I was promoted to Sergeant and worked in the force communications room but have since worked as a Patrol Sergeant and as a Partnership Sergeant within Erewash Borough Council. I now have the responsibility for directing your Safer Neighbourhood officers to ensure a high standard of community policing and my priority is to ensure my team is visible and accessible to the community we serve. Our team will be targetting individuals who make other people feel unsafe within their community and those who commit crime or engage in anti-social behaviour.

Safer Neighbourhood Meetings

Safer Neighbourhood meetings give you the opportunity to set the agenda in your area and help implement lasting solutions.
