This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Heanor and Loscoe. It belongs to the Amber Valley policing section. Heanor is a small market town situated on the top of a hill with Loscoe, a neighbouring village, approximately one and a half miles from the town centre. It has a wide variety of shops and market days are held every Friday and Saturday. It also boasts a very picturesque memorial park.

Actions to be taken are as follows:
  • Officers will be increasing high visibility patrols in the areas at key times.
  • They will be speaking to and advising young people of anti-social behaviour issues.
  • They will be gathering information around any key times for incidents and individuals involved.
  • Alcohol will be seized from any underage drinkers.
  • Set up Acceptable Behaviour Contracts with persistent troublemakers
  • Taking appropriate action against those found causing anti-social behaviour or damage.
  • Residents are encouraged to report anti-social behaviour issues to local officers by calling 101.
