New police officer for Ripley town centre

Posted on 9th October 2017
Ripley PC Lee Sadler- Oct 17

A new police officer has become the latest face on the streets of Ripley.

PC Lee Sadler has been a police officer for more than nine years, and joins the team having worked on the response teams in the Amber Valley area, in particular around Alfreton and Ripley.

Since starting on the team, Lee has been busy getting out on patrol, meeting local residents and working with his colleagues to target concerns around anti-social behaviour.

PC Sadler said: “I’m still getting used to the role and style of policing as part of a Safer Neighbourhood team, where we focus on targeting issues that matter to the community and work with other agencies to try and find longer term solutions.

“It’s a new challenge for me, and I’m really enjoying it. If you do see me out and about please don’t hesitate to say hello or please contact us if you have any concerns that we could help with.”

Before becoming a police officer Lee, who is originally from the Suffolk area, worked for a commercial printers firm. He enjoys following football and supports Ipswich Town.

The Ripley Town Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team also includes PC Ruth Platts, PCSO Sarah Dufton, PCSO Alison Dare and PCSO Neil Wilson.
