In an emergency always call 999

'Street Meet' set for residents in Somercotes and South Normanton

Posted on 17th May 2018

People in the Somercotes and South Normanton areas can meet their local Safer Neighbourhood policing team at ‘Street Meets’ next week.

Officers will be on hand at the Aldi and B&M Bargains car park, on Nottingham Road in Somercotes, between 10am and 12 noon on Thursday, May 24.

Later the same day, there will be a Street Meet at the Coop store on High Street, South Normanton, between 1pm and 3pm.

The events give residents the chance to drop in and speak about any concerns in their area, pick up advice around safety and security, or to simply meet their local Safer Neighbourhood policing team.

No appointment is necessary, but if you can’t make the ‘Street Meet’ and would like to contact your Safer Neighbourhood policing team call 101, the non-emergency number for Derbyshire police.

You can also send your local team a message online using the My Local Police page of the website, by clicking here.
