Youngsters in Chesterfield can stay entertained over the school holidays with free summer sport sessions.
The Chesterfield Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team is working with Sporting Futures and Chesterfield Borough Council to put on a number of events for local young people to take part in over the school holidays.
Nine free multi-sport sessions are set to take place during August and early September between 2pm and 4pm in the astro turf area at Queen’s Park Sport’s Centre.
Aimed at both boys and girls from 11 years old to 17 years old, the sessions are set to take place on:
- Monday, August 11
- Tuesday, August 12
- Friday, August 15
- Monday, August 18
- Tuesday, August 19
- Friday, August 22
- Tuesday, August 26
- Wednesday, August 27
- Monday, September 1
PCSO Adele Chapman-Jones of the Chesterfield Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We hope there will be something to keep everyone entertained with range of sports activities on offer which are completely free to get involved in.
“The sessions a great chance for local youngsters to meet with friends while taking part in some positive fun, activities during the summer holidays.”
