Chesterfield charity raffle Ashgate Hospice - Dec 18

Two Police Community Support Officers in Chesterfield have raised more than £400 for Ashgate Hospicecare.

PCSOs Adele Chapman-Jones and Karl Marsh arranged a raffle and tombola as part of one of their street meet events in Chesterfield town centre back in November.

They presented a cheque for £414.14 to the charity, which offers palliative care, therapy and support at the hospice and in the community, last week.

PCSO Chapman-Jones said: “All the prizes were donated by businesses in Chesterfield and we’re so grateful for their support which has helped us to raise funds for a very worthwhile local cause.”

Our Safer Neighbourhood policing teams hold regular events to meet with residents and the local community, where they can speak about any concerns or pick up advice about crime prevention.

You will be able to catch officers in Chesterfield town centre next Thursday (December 20) as they will be in New Square between 10am and 2pm.
