Chesterfield CFC Respect awards- Aug 17

We are delighted to have supported the recent Junior Awards held by the Spireites Community Trust.

The 2017 awards ceremony was held at Chesterfield Football Club’s Proact Stadium in July to recognise youngster’s hard work, commitment and team work throughout the year.

There were a total of 12 awards, and five youngsters were nominated in each category.

This year, we sponsored the Respect/Fairplay award to show our support for the values of team work, fair game play and respect.

Superintendent Michelle Shooter, the lead for operational policing in Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, North East Derbyshire, Amber Valley and the High Peak presented the award to Kate Thompson.

Also nominated were Fatima Noor, Colbie Burton, Charlie Proffitt and Kitty Cooper.

Supt. Shooter said: “Showing respect and treating people fairly are fantastic qualities to have, not just in sport but also in society and that is one of the reasons why we were proud to sponsor the Respect/Fairplay award. Well done to the winner, Kate, and all nominees in this category.

“It is great to see the Spireites Community Trust recognising youngster’s hard work and achievements in sport and the community.”

The Spireites Community Trust Junior Awards event was sponsored by iJump Trampoline Park and each of the 12 awards were sponsored by a different business or organisation.

Mike Noon, the Community Trust’s Operations Manager, was delighted with the success of the event. He said: “Congratulations to all of the participants who were nominated, who helped to make it a great year for the Trust. We look forward to seeing everyone again at our activities in the next 12 months!”
