In an emergency always call 999

South Chesterfield bobby takes to Twitter to keep residents informed

Posted on 9th October 2014

Residents living in South Chesterfield can now follow their local cop on Twitter to keep up-to-date with policing issues in their community.

PCSO Jude Cornwall is the latest officer to take to the social media site and will be keeping residents informed about any issues in Hasland and St Leonard’s, Holmebrook and Rother and Walton and West.

PCSO Cornwall will be tweeting about any neighbourhood issues, including witness appeals, police initiatives and any dates for the diary.

Jude will also be sending out tweets about crime prevention and safety advice, along with any warnings around road closures or serious incidents.

To follow Jude on Twitter, visit the social networking site and search  for @HbrookRotherSNT, @WaltonWestSNT and @HaslandSNT.

Finally, click ‘follow’ on the account page and you will then be able to view all updates that PCSO Cornwall sends out, along with asking her any questions about the team’s work over the networking site.

You can also follow all of Derbyshire’s neighbourhood officers on Twitter by subscribing to the Safer Neighbourhood Teams list on Twitter, or follow @DerbysPolice to receive tweets from across the county.

Derbyshire police launched its own Twitter site in 2009 and uses it to share news, appeals and information with over 29,000 followers.

Safer Neighbourhood policing teams will appeal for information on crimes over Twitter but you should always report crimes by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency.
