Police and councillors go on a walkabout to chat to residents in Spital

Posted on 2nd July 2014

Police and local councillors took to the streets of Spital on a joint walkabout to find out about resident’s concerns.

Officers from the Hasland and St. Leonards Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team visited homes in the Spital Lane, Smith Crescent and Taylor Crescent area alongside councillors on Thursday, June 26.

PC Mark Weldon of the Hasland and St. Leonards Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We held the walkabout as a way of reaching some of our local residents. The aim was to find out about any concerns or issues they had about their neighbourhood.

“No issues were raised on this occasion but we are planning future walkabouts in the Hasland and St. Leonard’s area.”
