Officers are appealing for information after a number of vehicles were damaged along Sycamore Road in Hollingwood.
At around 1am on Sunday, June 6, a man was reportedly seen damaging the windscreen wipers of nine vehicles along the road.
A similar incident took place on the same road on Friday, May 15 where vandals damaged the wing mirrors of vehicles.
PC Adam Case from the Hollingwood, Inkersall and Duckmanton Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "I am appealing to residents to get in touch if they saw a man acting suspiciously around the Markham Arms, Sycamore Road, or Mulberry Croft areas in the early hours of Sunday morning.
"This is the second time vehicles along this have been targeted and we are asking for the public's help in tracking down those responsible.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage motorists in the area to be vigilant and to park in well-lit areas, including using driveways or garages where possible, and to report any suspicious activity to us."
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact PC Adam Case on 101, quoting crime number 23816/15 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
