Youngsters in Duckmanton have been getting to know more about the work of the police and staying safe.
It is after officers from the Hollingwood, Inkersall and Duckmanton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team paid a special visit to Duckmanton Primary School last week.
PCSO Janis Naylor gave talks to the children in reception class about their work, how the police can help and how to stay safe when out and about on Wednesday, July 14.
The youngsters also had a chance to ask any questions they had about the police and how they can help.
PCSO Naylor said: “It’s good to meet local youngsters and to speak to them about the work of police officers and PCSOs as it helps them to understand what it is we do and how we can help them should they need us.
“They all seemed very interested and had some great questions for me to answer, and really enjoyed trying on parts of a police uniform.”
Officers from our local Safer Neighbourhood teams make regular visits to schools to engage with youngsters.
