Families in Birdholme have had the chance to meet their local police at a number of summer time community events.
Officers from the Holmebrook and Rother Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team visited at the Birdholme SureStart Children’s Centre Summer Fayre and at the Hunloke Community Garden.
Residents had the chance to speak to the police about any concerns they had at the free event on Tuesday, August 19.
PCSO Kirsty Handby of the Holmebrook and Rother Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “It was great to see so many local families on an informal level and enjoying the fun event. I also spoke with a number of hard at work residents at the Hunloke Community Garden who were busy making the space beautiful, painting the cabin and creating a mosaic welcome sign.
“Events and projects like these are a great way to bring the community together, and we were pleased to be included as part of that.”
