Posted on 13th February 2015

Chesterfield-warrant---Feb-15A man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following a police warrant at a property in Chesterfield.

At around 9.10am today (Friday, February 13) police executed a warrant at a property on Harper Hill Close in Chesterfield and discovered suspected Class B drugs inside.

A 46-year-old man was arrested at the time of the incident on suspicion of drugs offences and is currently being questioned.

A/Sergeant Dave Wilson from the Chesterfield South Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We will continue to work alongside out partners to reinforce the message that drugs activity will not be tolerated in our community.

“We will work hard to take action against those offenders to stamp out this type of behaviour in our neighbourhoods.

“I’d urge anyone who wants to report suspected criminal activity to do so, and I hope that this action will assure people that we do treat those reports seriously and will act on them.”

Safer Neighbourhood officers have been out in the area to offer reassurance and support to residents.
