Posted on 7th March 2018

We are appealing for information after a pet cat was shot at with a pellet gun in Birdholme, Chesterfield, on Friday.

The cat’s owners, who live on Baden Powell Road, reported the incident to our officers after their pet returned home with an injury at around lunchtime on Friday, March 2.

A vet has examined the cat and confirmed it was shot at with an air rifle.

It is possible the cat had been roaming in the Lord Roberts Road and Dundonald Road area, as well as perhaps further afield in Birdholme.
