Posted on 3rd April 2017

Free Easter ‘Adventur’ karting sessions are set to take place in Poolsbrook and Duckmanton during half term for local youngsters to enjoy.

They have been organised by officers from the local Safer Neighbourhood policing team, with funding from local county councillors.

The sessions will take place on Monday, April 10, on Staveley Road, Poolsbrook between 2pm and 4pm and at the Duckmanton Miners Welfare car park between 5pm and 7pm.

PCSO Janis Naylor of the local Safer Neighbourhood policing team which covers the Poolsbrook and Duckmanton areas said: “We’ve organised another opportunity for youngsters in our area to take part in free activities during the school Easter holiday.

“It’s another chance for young people to get together with their friends, take part in something a little different and also help us to prevent reports of nuisance or anti-social behaviour.”

There are no age limits to take part in the activity, but youngsters will need to be at least 4ft tall.

Residents should also note that Staveley Road, Poolsbrook will be closed between 1.15pm and 4.30pm to allow the event to take place.

For more information on the event contact PCSO Janis Naylor by calling 101, the non emergency number for Derbyshire police, or emailing ChesterfieldNorthSNT@derbyshire.pnn.police.uk.
