Witness appeal following incident in Chesterfield

Officers are appealing for information after a man made inappropriate comments to a girl in Chesterfield.

At around 5pm on Wednesday, December 3, a 16-year-old girl was waiting outside a store on Saltergate, Chesterfield when she was approached by a man who began making inappropriate, sexual comments to her. The girl then walked away.

The offender is described as having a full grey beard and grey hair. He was wearing a black puffa jacket, grey trousers with blue patches on the knee and is believed to have been using a Zimmer-frame.

Officers have since arrested a 47-year-old man in connection with the incident. He was questioned and later released on police bail.
