Officers from the Chesterfield North Safer Neighbourhood Team have been taking to the road to monitor the speed of vehicles.
Throughout the morning on Monday, June 22, PC Simon Duddles and PCSO Janis Naylor teamed up to carry out speed checks in the Safer Neighbourhood area, which covers the Dunston, Moor and St Helen's and Newbold and Brockwell beats.
The officers visited Newbold Road at the junction of Water Meadow Lane, Dunston Lane and Loundsley Green Road to help crack down on any speeding motorists in the area.
PCSO Janis Naylor from the Chesterfield North Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "We carry out regular speed checks in the communities of Dunston, Moor and St Helen's and Newbold and Brockwell, to ensure that motorists are abiding by the speed limits to help make our roads safer for all.
"Speed limits are set for a reason, however motorists are often found to exceed these during previous checks. Following the checks on Monday, it was really encouraging to see that motorists were driving in a safe manner and abiding by the laws of the roads.
"We will continue to carry out speed checks over the coming weeks and months to monitor the situation."
