Residents in Staveley are being encouraged to remain vigilant and to report suspicious activity to police following a number of vehicle damages in the area.

Since Wednesday, October 1, officers have received 13 reports of vehicles which have been damaged around the Staveley policing section. This has often involved having an unknown liquid poured over the vehicles by offenders.

PC Adam Case from the Staveley area Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We have received a number of reports concerning damage to vehicles in the area and I would like to take this opportunity to appeal for any further information and urge motorists to report any damage to us.

“I would like to encourage residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to us so that we can help to prevent a crime from happening.”

To report suspicious activity in your area, call police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
