Posted on 31st October 2017

We’re appealing for information after four cars were broken in to in the Ashgate and Brampton areas of Chesterfield during one night.

The cars, two which were parked on Westboune Grove, and two on Old Road, are believed to have been targeted sometime overnight between Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20.

Items including a Bluetooth phone connectivity device, a sat nav, a Barbour gilet, CDs and a wallet containing cash and bank cards were stolen.

PCSO Charlie Richmond, of the local Safer Neighbourhood policing team, said: “We are currently making enquiries into these incidents and I would urge anyone in the area around that time who saw or heard anything suspicious to get in touch.

“There hasn’t been any damaged caused to the vehicles which were broken into in these incidents, so we would just like to remind people to always make sure that they leave their vehicles locked and secure, and to remove any valuables that might be tempting to a thief.”
