PCSO Jane Clawson is soon to be leaving the Whittington and Barrow Hill Safer Neighbourhood Team as she sets her sights on new challenges.

Jane, who has been in the role since January 2013, is set to leave the team later this week to begin her training as a regular police officer for the force.

PCSO Clawson has previously worked in a variety of roles at other police forces including West Yorkshire Police and Durham Constabulary.

She joined Derbyshire Constabulary in 2013 after completing a degree in Criminology with Psychology and a master’s degree in Criminal Investigations.

PCSO Clawson from the Whittington and Barrow Hill Safer Neighbourhood said: “I have really enjoyed my time working with the community in Barrow Hill and New and Old Whittington alongside my colleagues from the Staveley Safer Neighbourhood Team.

“During my time here as a PCSO, I have worked alongside a number of partners and community groups to help resolve local issues, provide reassurance and crime prevention advice to members of the community.

She added: “I have met a lot of people along the way, visiting local youth clubs, coffee mornings, and schools to carry out safety talks and speed watch events.

“I will miss my role here as a Safer Neighbourhood officer but I am looking forward to the new challenges that life as a PC will bring.”

PCSO Jane Clawson will be taking on her new role on Monday, November 17.
