Man charged in connection with Ashbourne allotment breaks

A 38-year-old man has been charged in connection with a number of shed breaks at an allotment site in Ashbourne.

Overnight between Tuesday, September 30 and Wednesday, October 1, a number of sheds situated on an allotment site on Watery Lane, Ashbourne were targeted.

Offenders forced open the padlocks on the sheds and stole items, including gardening equipment and tools, from within.

Ian Hartley (38) of Cornwall Road, Derby has been charged with burglary (non-dwelling) and is due at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court on Thursday, November 20.
