Ashbourne officers set to host online surgery for residents

Posted on 8th April 2015

Officers from the Ashbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team will be heading online to host their first virtual surgery.

Residents in Ashbourne and the surrounding villages are being invited to visit the Derbyshire Constabulary website on Monday, April 13 to raise any issues with their local team.

The Safer Neighbourhood team will be logging on between 6pm and 7pm and will be on hand to answer any questions, and offer advice on community concerns.

Similar to the Safer Neighbourhood governance meetings, feedback from the virtual surgery will then be used to help to set the policing priorities for the next three months.

PCSO Tammy Bell-Heather from the Ashbourne Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We understand our residents have busy lives and can’t always attend meetings to have their say on local policing.

“We have decided to host our first virtual surgery to give people the chance to raise any community issues that they may have from the comfort of their own home.

“Hearing the views of our local residents is really important to us so that we can tackle the issues that matter to them the most.”

To take part in the virtual surgery, visit www.derbyshire.police.uk/virtualsurgeries between 6pm and 7pm on Monday, April 13.
