Police appeal after antique rifle stolen from Bakewell stall

Police are appealing for information after a muzzle loading rifle was stolen from a stall in Bakewell.

A man is believed to have taken the antique item from the Rutland Antiques Centre on The Square, Bakewell, sometime between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Tuesday, 7 April.

The man is described as white, between 25 and 30-years-old with dark hair and wearing a short-sleeved beige shirt. He was also reported to be carrying a guitar.

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious during the timeframe to get in touch.

Anyone with any information about the incident should contact PC Simon Wolverson on 101, quoting incident number 184 of 14/04/15.
