Christmas crime prevention events to take place in Darley Dale and Buxton

Posted on 27th November 2017

We’re inviting residents in the Darley Dale and Buxton areas to meet their local Safer Neighbourhood policing teams and pick up some seasonal safety advice.

Our officers are holding Christmas themed crime prevention events to help offer tips and encourage people to protect themselves and their property during and beyond the festive period.

They will be covering a range of advice including staying safe while shopping, both out and about and online, protecting your home during the darker evenings, and how to keep your valuables secure.

Both events in Darley Dale and Buxton will take place on Thursday, December 7.

Officers from the Buxton Town Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding a stall in The Springs shopping centre (near to The Works) between 9am and 12 noon.

Officers from the Darley Dale and Winster Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team will be at the Meadow View Care Centre on Bakewell Road between 10am and 2pm. Refreshments will be provided.

Residents are able to just drop in at the events, as no appointments are necessary.

To contact your local Safer Neighbourhood policing team call 101, or send them a message through the My Local Police pages of the website by clicking here.
