Birchover residents sign up to free alert system during police walkabout

Posted on 12th February 2013

Officers from Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team joined staff from Dales Housing for a walkabout around the village of Birchover.

The team visited residents and spoke to them about local issues including any crime problems people are experiencing.

During the visit, which took place on the morning of Thursday, February 7, several residents also took the chance to sign up to Derbyshire Alert.

The free messaging system is used by Derbyshire Constabulary to send alerts via text, email or voicemail on topics such as crime appeals, prevention advice, meeting dates and other events relevant to their neighbourhood.
