Police appeal following Hope Valley burglaries

Police in Hathersage are appealing for information after two homes were broken into in the area.

Between 2pm and 4.25pm on Monday, March 9, offenders smashed through the patio door of a property on Jaggers Lane in Hathersage.

Once inside the thieves carried out a search and stole a number of electrical items including a plasma TV, laptop and camera. (9870/15)

On the same day, a TV, computer equipment and items of jewellery were stolen after offenders forced open the rear door of a property along Coggers Lane, Hathersage.

The incident is believed to have taken place sometime between 8am and 6.10pm. (9874/15)

PCSO Anthony Boswell from the Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “I would like to ask residents in the area to help us by being our eyes and ears in the community.

“If you see any suspicious activity in your neighbourhood then do contact us straight away so that we can stop these crimes from happening.”
