Police appeal after vehicle is stolen from outside a home in Grindleford

Police are appealing for information after thieves broke into a Hope Valley property and drove off in the victim's vehicle.

Overnight between 11.30pm on Sunday, May 10 and 7.30am on Monday, May 11, offenders entered a property on Main Road in Grindleford and stole a handbag and Blackberry mobile phone from the hallway.

Thieves then took a set of car keys from inside the bag, and drove off in the victim's green coloured Skoda Octavia. The handbag was later found discarded outside the property.

Officers are urging anyone with any information, or who may have seen the vehicle in the area between the times above, to contact them.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101, quoting crime number 19647/15.
