Police appeal following Hope Valley burglary

Posted on 15th April 2015

Officers investigating a burglary at a property in Grindleford are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Sometime between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Tuesday, April, 14, thieves used tools to force open the conservatory door of a property on St Helen's Close in Grindleford.

Whilst inside thieves carried out an untidy search of the master bedroom, however it is not yet known what was stolen.

PCSO Anthony Boswell from the Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "The incident happened within a two hour time frame so we are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious vehicles or people in the area to get in touch.

"Any information, no matter how small that you think it may be, can really help to aid our investigations and detect crime.

"I would also like to encourage residents to be vigilant, and if you see anyone acting suspiciously in your neighbourhood to contact police straight away so that we can stop a crime from happening."

Anyone with any information about the burglary should call PC Paul Hackett on 101, quoting crime number 15366/15.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
