Witness appeal after Hathersage vehicle is set alight

Police are appealing for information following a suspected arson attack on a Hathersage vehicle.

Overnight between 10pm on Wednesday, February 11 and 6am on Thursday, February 12, offenders targeted a vehicle in the Hathersage area and are believed to have deliberately set it on fire.  

The Suzuki Vitara was parked just off the A6187 between Bamford and Hathersage, known locally as the Hathersage Straight, during the time of the incident.

Anyone with any information, or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area, is urged to contact PC Paul Hawkins on 101, quoting crime number 6383/15.
