Ashbourne police appeal after £20,000 worth of lead is stolen from church roof

Police are appealing for information after around £20,000 worth of lead was stolen from a rural village church.

Overnight, thieves climbed onto the roof of Bradley All Saints Church in Bradley, Ashbourne and made off with half of the lead from the building.

The incident is believed to have taken place sometime between 5.15pm on Tuesday, April 28 and 8.30am on Wednesday, April 29.

Officers are asking anyone with any information, or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area, to get in touch.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101, quoting crime number 17834/15 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
