Men arrested for suspected drugs offences at properties in Matlock

Arrests were made for drugs offences as Matlock Safer Neighbourhood Team headed out on patrol to crack down on drug use in the area.

Police searched a house in Rutland Avenue, Matlock on Monday, December 9 and found 14 suspected cannabis plants inside.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation and has been bailed pending further inquiries. 

During a stop search on Tuesday, December 3 police discovered a large amount of suspected cannabis on an 18-year-old man in Water Lane, Wirksworth.

A warrant at a property in Derby Road, Wirksworth was carried out following the search where suspected class A, class B and paraphernalia were found.

The man was interviewed  on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply and has been bailed pending further  inquiries.
