Matlock police target drugs offences - and you can help

Posted on 17th June 2013

Derbyshire Constabulary has just carried out a week of action targeting drugs offences in the Matlock, Matlock Bath, Cromford, Darley Dale and Wirksworth areas.

Officers are now urging more people to come forward and speak to them about any concerns they have about drugs in their communities.

PCSO Karl Millward, from Matlock Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "Our focus on drugs issues doesn't end with this operation and we need people to come forward and help us tackle it further.

"If you suspect someone of being involved in activity surrounding drugs, whether it's dealing, production or abuse, please call. It could make a huge difference to your community."

To speak to PCSO Karl Millward, call Matlock Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101. You can remain anonymous if you wish.

You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers, which is totally anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
