Witness appeal following theft from Matlock store

Officers are appealing for information after items were stolen from a gift store in Matlock.

At around 8.30pm on Wednesday, November 5, a woman entered the Designate at the Gate gift shop on Smedley Street East, Matlock. She took a number of items including a purse, belt and a brooch, and left the store without offering payment.

The woman is described as white, 5ft 5ins tall and is believed to be aged in her late twenties to early thirties. She had brunette hair in dreadlocks and was seen to be carrying a green army styled rucksack around the time of the incident.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact PCSO David Dickinson on 101, quoting crime number 47097/14.
