Information appeal following Hope Valley and Stanton Lees thefts

Police are appealing for information following thefts and vehicle damage in the Hope Valley and Stanton Lees area.

Sometime between 9.30pm on Friday, June 19 and 2pm on Sunday, June 21, thieves smashed the window of a Vauxhall Corsa and stole a Tom Tom Sat-Nav from within.

The vehicle was parked in the remote area of Lee Cross Quarry at Stanton Lees between the incident times. (26049/15)

A search was carried out of a blue Ford Focus that was parked on Lees Road in Stanton-in-the-Peak after thieves smashed the passenger window. The incident took place overnight between 6.30pm on Friday, June 19 and 8.40am the following morning. (25941/15)

A yellow coloured mountain bike was also stolen from outside a café on Main Road in Hathersage sometime between 1pm and 1.40pm on Friday, June 19. (25764/15)

PCSO Anthony Boswell from the Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "We are asking local people who may have any information about the above crimes to contact us on 101 so that we can find those responsible.

"We are also asking local residents to be vigilant, and if they see anything suspicious or out of the ordinary in their community, to contact us so that we can check it out."
