Posted on 27th March 2014

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a property in Matlock.

Between 10.30am and 2.30pm on Sunday, March 23, offenders smashed a window of a property on Cromford Road in Wirksworth.

Offenders made an untidy search of the home and stole a John Rocha purse, a Kindle tablet and a black Seiko wristwatch.

Cash and a pair of jewelled earrings were also taken from the property.

Officers are urging homeowners to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 101, the non-emergency number for Derbyshire police or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
