Police appeal after damage in caused to Wirksworth properties

Police are appealing for information following a number of damages in Wirksworth.

Overnight between Tuesday, February 24 and Wednesday, February 25, officers received a number of reports from residents whereby windows of their properties had been smashed or damaged.

Police are asking anyone with any information about the incidents on Derby Road, Bournebrook Avenue and Recreation Road, Wirksworth, to contact them.

PC Dan Mitchell from the Wirksworth and Middleton Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We will be investigating these incidents robustly in order to bring those responsible to justice.

“Wirksworth is a nice area and these acts of criminal damages will not be accepted in our community.

“I would ask anyone with any information about the incidents, or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area, to get in touch.”
