Woman arrested in Middleton after officers find suspected drugs

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences in Middleton after she was stopped by local officers.

At around 8.20pm on Tuesday, February 24, police were carrying out patrols when they stopped a vehicle travelling along Chapel Lane in Middleton.

Following a search, a quantity of suspected Class B drugs were found to be in the driver’s possession.

A 22-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and has since been bailed pending further police inquiries.

Anyone with any information about suspected drugs activity in their neighbourhood is asked to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
