Information appeal following attempted burglary in Buxton

Police in Buxton are appealing for information following an attempted burglary at an industrial estate in the area.

At around 10pm on Sunday, November 16, a group of around ten offenders attempted to gain entry into the Yamaha and Quads Unit on Dew Pond Lane in Buxton.

The group attempted to force entry into the business premises however made off in vehicles after they were disturbed by the alarm system. Nothing was stolen from the property.

Offenders also smashed the windscreen of three vehicles that were parked nearby on the industrial estate.

Officers are appealing for anyone with any information about the incident, or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area to contact them.

Police are also looking to trace the owner of a Mercedes van in connection with the incident. The vehicle is white in colour with the word ‘ZIP’ written on the side.

Officers investigating the incident have received reports that the van had been seen parked on Tongue Lane Industrial Estate at around 4.45pm on Saturday, November 15, and on Queen’s Road at around 10am on Monday, November 17.
